Manual Drive is a popular learner driving and development school based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Manual Drive prides themselves on driving the safe way and are passionate about their learner drivers. Manual Drive has found a unique approach to local driving lessons. By becoming experienced in your local areas you can make much more informed decisions throughout your driving tuition, benefiting not only your ability to pass you driving test but also for driving after you have passed.

Manual Drive has over 19 years of driving experience. James Manual of Manual Drive passed first time his B class car in 1989 at the age of 17. Then at the young age of 21 he passed first time his Articulated Heavy Goods Vehicle Towing a 44ft Trailer class one C+E. James then worked as an articulated driver throughout the UK for several years. Until four years ago, James also served as a Royal Marine Commando which involved driving in a logistical role and operating specialist equipment.

James Manual is an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), fully qualified ADI Instructor Trainer and Pass Plus Instructor he is recognised by the (DSA Driving Standards Agency).

James is also a member and Advanced Driver of motoring organisations:

CPD (Continuing Professional Development) – Manual Drive keeps an on going educational programme and is always up to date with new driving requirements.

Manual Drive puts you on the road to assist with passing your driving test. However, it is not all about just passing your test, we will also teach you the importance of keeping driving safe.
